Ken-Tool Names Rockford Tyson as Director of Marketing and Sales

AKRON, Ohio (April 9, 2007) – Ken-Tool today announced the appointment of Rockford Tyson as the director of marketing and sales. In his new position, Tyson will oversee all marketing and sales activities for the company and will report to Alec Pendleton, President. Ken Tool is a leading manufacturer of automotive specialty hand tools including tools for changing and servicing tires across a wide array of applications.

Mr. Pendleton stated, “We’re very pleased to have Rock heading our marketing and sales activities. With his extensive industry experience and expertise, Rock is uniquely qualified to lead our efforts and I look forward to working with Rock as we pursue our vision of building our leadership position.”

Tyson joins Ken Tool from Stride Tool Inc., where he held various positions since 1997 including Director of Marketing. Previously, he was Consumer Marketing Manager for the Ridge Tool Company and his experience includes 17 years of marketing, sales and engineering positions with tire manufacturers such as Michelin, Dunlop and BFGoodrich.

Tyson received his MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State University. He is a member of Sales and Marketing Executives International of Akron and serves on their board. Tyson can be reached at rtysoncme@www.kentool.com.
